This year has been a pretty monumental one: I started Alli Brydon Creative in September, which was a huge leap of faith for me. Only four months in, I'm already busier and more fulfilled than I ever could have imagined! I've been enjoying a wide variety of interesting projects that satisfy all parts of my creative mind, and I'm constantly amazed by the quality and quantity of work that passes across my desk. And next year, I'll be adding "published author" to my list of accomplishments!
My working days are filled with critiquing heartfelt, engaging, funny picture book writing from my author clients, writing children's and adult nonfiction for my publishing clients, blogging, running #kidlitbot on Twitter, and consulting on a very special secret project that will be revealed in the new year.
My non-working days are filled with tickles & giggles, reading kidlit, lunches at our local diner, after-school homework, trampoline parks, and spending lots of time with one very sweet toddler and one fascinating 1st grader.
I feel so fortunate, and want to thank you for being a strand in the creative fabric of my year!
To my clients: thank you for trusting me with your words. To my blog readers: thank you for your time and interest in what I have to say. I'm looking forward to collaborating with you all in 2018! And to everyone who supported me from the beginning: your help and guidance has influenced my life more than I can say.
I will be taking off some time between now and the new year to spend with family, rest, and recharge. I hope you'll all be doing the same...
Wishing you a very happy holiday and a spectacular new year!
